The Fire Standards Board are pleased to announce the consultations on the Fire Standards for Fire Protection and Prevention are now open.
The Board welcome responses from all stakeholders but are particularly keen to ensure all fire and rescue services provide a response on behalf of their service as those directly impacted by the Fire Standards. They also welcome individual responses and those from colleagues in the Devolved Administrations, from partners and all stakeholders including those in the wider fire and rescue sector.
The development of these draft Fire Standards has been coordinated by the National Fire Chiefs Council and in conjunction with the respective national Committees. These two further Fire Standards accompany the already approved Operational Response Fire Standards bringing together the suite of Service Delivery Fire Standards.
These Fire Standards are intended as overarching standards with further Fire Standards relating to more specific aspects of both Prevention and Fire Protection being developed in future.
The closing date for the consultation is Friday 9th April 2021.
