Revisions to the Protection Fire Standard

Following feedback received from fire and rescue services after its initial publication, an exceptional review has taken place. As a result, revisions to the wording of the Protection Fire Standard have been made. Fire Standards Board approved the minor revisions at its meeting on 9th September.

The feedback received requested clarification of wording relating to equality impact assessments in the ‘To achieve this Fire Standard’ section. In addition, now that the Fire Investigation Fire Standard has also been published, references to that have been included.

The Fire Standards Board wish to thank those services for the feedback and hopes It is hoped the revised wording will make the expectations on services clearer.

Should a service wish to share feedback in relation to any of the published Fire Standards, they can do so by contacting the Fire Standards Board project team, at: [email protected]
