Emergency response driving instructor course out for consultation

The NFCC have been working with colleagues in the practitioner’s group, Driver Training Advisory Group (DTAG) to develop a course outline for Instructors, with supporting guidance to help services to achieve the Emergency Driving Response Fire Standard, which was published in February 2021.

The NFCC now invite you all to provide feedback though a consultation on the course outlines for Class 3 and 4 vehicles and Class 2 vehicles.

All responses will be considered following the closure of the consultation on Tuesday 1 November 2022 and should any responses result in significant revisions to the course outline, a further consultation may be initiated.

The NFCC will be seeking to discuss delivery of the new courses with those services who have expressed an interested to do so shortly after this consultation is completed.

Your time and engagement is appreciated to help ensure the courses designed are feasible to run and so that these courses can be adopted by services as soon as possible.
