The Consultation – Now closed

How to participate in the consultation

Whilst the end products will be published online, for the purposes of consultation, you are provided with the Fire Standard and NFCC Emergency Response Driver and Instructor Framework as a consultation pack in PDF for ease.

The consultation questions will ask for your views about both the Fire Standard, the NFCC Emergency Response Driver and Instructor Framework and the ease of implementation for those organisations to who this Fire Standard applies.

Please be aware that you will need to complete the survey in one session; for this reason, we strongly suggest that you:

  • read the consultation pack before completing your review
  • read the survey questions by downloading a copy of them here
  • capture your responses in a Word document before transferring them into the online survey so that you will not lose your notes in the event of technical issues

Consultation pack

You will be asked to provide your name, role, organisation and email address in case of any technical issue or if we need to contact you to clarify anything about your response.

It is not mandatory to respond to all of the questions in the survey; you are welcome to only complete those areas that you have an interest or expertise in.

When you are ready, please start the survey.

What happens after the consultation has closed?

All the consultation responses will be considered in January 2020. Should any responses result in significant revisions to either the Fire Standard or supporting guidance, a further consultation may be initiated.

Following this a quality assurance process will be applied with a view to proposing the Fire Standard to the Fire Standards Board for approval in the first quarter of 2020.

If you have any questions about the consultation process please email [email protected].
